Linn County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, verify a release, post bond, release a person, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the public office responsible for the specific record or custody question.

Choose the Right Office

Linn County has an unusual custody arrangement. The county does not operate a current jail, so current detention and historical records can require different contacts. Start with the category that matches the question, rather than assuming a Linn County webpage supplies a live roster or public booking photographs.

Current Linn County Custody

For a current hold, booking number, or detention status, contact Macon County Sheriff’s Office and Jail. Linn County’s official inmate-roster explanation states that the county now houses inmates there. Macon County Jail is at 101 E. Washington Street, Macon, MO 63552, and its phone is (660) 385-2062. The official page reviewed does not provide a public roster or booking-photo policy, so ask what status information the jail can confirm.

Historic or Releasable Records

For an arrest report, booking sheet, or a request for any releasable booking photograph, use the Linn County Sheriff’s Office records-request route. LCSO is led by Sheriff Carrie Melte and is located at 115 W. Jackson Street, Linneus, MO 64653. Its 24-hour non-emergency number is (660) 895-5312; office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Written requests should go to the records custodian at CustodianOfRecords@LinnCoSoMo.gov or through the official request path, not by fax.

For an arrest by a city department, ask the city office that made the arrest for its own record process. Brookfield Police Department is at #1 Center Drive, Brookfield, MO 64628, and can be reached at (660) 258-3385. Marceline requests go through the city clerk at 116 N. Main, Marceline, MO 64658, (660) 376-3528, or lindsay.krumpelman@marcelinemo.us. Linneus has no separately identified municipal police department in the official source set, so LCSO is the practical local law-enforcement contact.

Possible Warrant

No working public Linn County warrant portal was located. For a current operational question, call LCSO’s non-emergency line or the Linn County Circuit Clerk at (660) 895-5212. Case.net can supply court-record context, but a docket hit or no-result search does not by itself confirm whether an active warrant remains executable. An affected person should contact an attorney or the court.

Later Case or Different Custody

For a court case after booking, use Missouri Case.net. A court docket can show what happened after the initial allegation, which may differ from an arrest charge. For someone in Missouri state custody or active supervision, use MDOC Offender Search; it is not a county-booking search. Federal custody belongs in the BOP inmate locator, and immigration custody belongs in the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Each uses a different record system and may require exact identity details.

The home page explains these custody states and records-request steps in more detail. A charge at booking is an allegation, and an official court disposition is the appropriate source for the eventual case outcome.
